Zircon M4 Stud Finder is a tool used to locate the center of wooden studs behind walls. Below is a step-by-step guide on how to use it:
1. Turn On: The first step involves turning on the stud finder. At the bottom of this tool, there is a switch that you should slide to turn on the stud finder. You will notice that the detector lights turn on when it's ready for use.
2. Hold Against the Wall: Now hold the stud finder against the wall. Make sure that it is touching the place where you expect to find a stud.
3. Button Pressing: On the side of the m4 stud finder, there's a button. Press it down firmly and hold it while you are scanning the wall.
4. Scanning: This is where you move the stud finder horizontally along the wall. Ensure that you maintain a constant speed while moving. If you move it too fast, you might miss a stud.
5. Stud Detection: As you continue sliding the device along the wall, it will alert you when it detects a stud. It does so by emitting sound and the indicator light will glow steadily.
6. Mark the Spot: Once the stud finder has detected a stud, mark that spot with a pencil. This spot is where the center of the stud is.
7. Rescan to Confirm: Move away from that spot and scan the wall again. You should get the same result at that marked point. If so, then you've accurately found a stud behind the wall.Remember to turn off the device after use to conserve battery life.
